Farida Bedwei honoured at 2015 CIMG Awards Featured

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Logiciel Limited receives CIMG SPECIAL AWARD 2014.

Ms. Farida Nana Efua Bedwei received the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) SPECIAL AWARD 2014 at the just ended CIMG MARKETING PERFORMANCE AWARDS which was held at the banquet Hall, State House on Saturday, 19th September 2015.

She was recognized for the tremendous strides she has made in technology development in the microfinance industry in Ghana and West Africa as a whole. She is credited with the development and successful implementation of gKudi, a web-based (clouded) banking software suite for the micro finance industry, designed to be accessible on mobile phones and tablets as well as on desktop systems used by over 200 Micro Finance Institutions nationwide.

gKudi is a hosted enterprise software that offers banks and non-financial institutions the opportunity for faster and efficient operation and expansion whiles reducing the cost of deploying and integrating software ,IT infrastructure and human resource requirements. This in turn translates to new revenue streams, fraud prevention and higher returns for the financial institution. It provides a full suite of solutions for managing microfinance and general banking operations with an integrated mobile POS and SMS Capability.

Ms. Farida is a seasoned software engineer with over 17 years’ experience in building mobile and enterprise applications with extensive knowledge in architecting, employing mobile VAS services and banking for the microfinance industry in West Africa.

The event played host to renowned marketers and organizations who were acknowledged and celebrated for their marketing excellence and innovation

Other award winners at the programme included the Managing Director of Stanbic who won marketing man of the year and Mrs. Lucy Quist Managing Director of Airtel Limited who won marketing woman of the year.
