At the 2013/14 Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government Awards, Ms. Farida Bedwei, was adjudged the overall winner in Ghana. Farida is a software architect with over 15 years of experience in the development and implementation of mobile and enterprise software in Ghana.
She is the Director: IT and Business Development at G-Life Micro Finance where she implemented and currently manages the company’s mobile and enterprise platforms. Through her efforts G-Life, which is now known as Logiciel Ghana Ltd, became the first financial institution in Ghana to successfully implement mobile banking.
Farida is very passionate about wealth creation among the productive poor, and other means of helping the economically disadvantaged in society. Farida says she is constantly coming up with new initiatives to meet the ever changing financial needs of the average Ghanaian trader, mechanic or businesswoman.
She is intent on using her extensive experience in information technology to achieve Logiciel’s vision of promoting a cashless society. She self-published her first novel – Definition of a Miracle, in March 2010.
